The Weekender

Whether or not you have a special weekend planned or not, take some tips or inspiration away with you from the land of the blogs. Here are some outfit ideas, recipes, and drinks to celebrate the weekend with, all from other blogger’s themselves.

    Fashion:
No matter where you live right now, were all in limbo of perfect weather appropriate outfits. Shorts/skirts with a jacket or sweater are probably going to be your best bet. Here are some ideas I pulled from some of my favorite blogs.

    Food:
Cause it’s the weekend, I give you permission to cheat a little on your diet...I know I plan on to after this long week. O and I hope you like pumpkins.

DIY Friday

Okay, so we’ve all seen those neon painted necklaces, earrings, and bracelets floating around that have given a new found purpose to those outdated rhinestone pieces we all own from out youth. We’ll as much as I have loved the neon interpretations, (here’s a good example) I love these two DIY projects done in a more subtle way.

First off, I wouldn't normally highlight two blogger’s DIY projects in one post, but since they both popped up last week around the same time, I thought I would share them both.

Anyways, found on the overly crafty DIYer’s blog A Pair & A Spair, she has taken a full on rhinestone necklace and simply sprayed it white with paint. Simple right? Well, doesn’t matter how easy the project may have been, I seriously love the end result. Much more hip, bold and in the moment. Click here to see how she did it.

But if all white isn’t your thing, or you can’t get your hands on some spray paint, reach for your nail polish. Cupcakes and Cashmere has transformed a rhinestone brooch she picked up at a flea market. I love this idea also since you can use more then one color! Also, this way of revamping can also be done on any form of jewelry, you just have to have more patience. Again, click here to see more on how she did it!

Well I hope you enjoyed. Now go out, feel inspired and get to work, cause this world can always use more DIY!

Tune Time

Crank it up and enjoy your time this weekend, even if your stuck doing work you don't want to, music makes it all better.

Home Blog: Green With Envy

So, I have enjoyed the interior design photo’s shared by Tanja over at A Touch of Luxe for quite some time now. I think we both share the same amount of love towards all things interior design. However, she beats me as she isn’t as lazy as me when it comes to sharing all the beautiful photos of all the beautiful interiors, and even sometimes exterior spaces on her blog. This week though, I couldn't literally stop being green with envy with her post on decorating with emerald green. I have never really thought of making a true emerald green color the focus of a room, but umm I kinda seriously love it!. So here is a re-share of photo’s. Hope you enjoy, click here for more green photos. And for more wonderful interiors I highly suggest the endless exploration on A Touch of Luxe.

Blogger Tips

Okay, here are some great blogger tips that you might not find on most blogs as you typically find blogs flooded with high end things that create the "who’s who" of blogs. Well, status' have no place here, as here is one blogger’s tips for thrift store shopping. Yes, take a moment to admit that you either love to shop the thrifts store circuit, or have at least always wanted to. The only discouraging thing is that the pictures found on this blog, A Beautiful Mess seems way more fun then things I could ever think of discovering at thrift stores. However, this fun list of tips from the blogger Elsie herself, makes me want to regain my confidence and courage and face the thrift stores once again in hopes of finding some fun, quirky treasure! At a low cost too!

Blogger Home Share

So, the blogger over at Mariannan just moved out and on up to her own pad and she has been teasing her followers (me) with soon to be posted photos of how she decorated her new place. Well, FINALLY the wait was over last week on Friday! Sorry I too waited so long to share with you, but with out further adieu, enjoy! I know I kinda want to re-design my entire room to resemble her house now. All her spaces are just so light and clean looking, I love it! Check out more photos here, and explore her always beautiful blog. What do you think?

Video Time: Marble Nails Via Refinery 29

So it seems like nail designs are getting more and more crafty these days, and I have to admit I love experimenting my own self. In this video from Refinery 29 you’ll find one way to get some pretty rad looking marble nails. I’ve seen a number of ways to get the same end result, but to me this seems like the least messiest, although I do think it may be a bit time consuming.

FoodNation

Tummies growling? Well here is a tasty recap of last weeks food blogs.

First up, perfect for the changing seasons is a cream of tomato soup and grilled cheese combo from the one and only Emily over at Cupcakes and Cashmere. As Emily blogs about anything from fashion to home decorating, I love it when she takes time to add a little spice with recipes every once in a while. Another great plus with her recipes is the fact that she makes them all from high quality products. Not to mention, she photographs them very well that makes you just want to eat your computer screen. Here’s how she made this tasty treat perfect for the fall weather.

To go along with the changing seasons and food cravings for warm hard food that remind of our mothers cooking, here is a scrumptious looking vegetarian chili from the crafty and stylish blogger over at  Food Coma. Okay, I know what you meat lovers are thinking, vegetarian chili just isn’t chili right? Well, wrong. at least in this case. I mean come on, look at it, you know you want some. Meat or no meat. Hardy and filling, and just what the hungry stomach ordered.

To round of the menu to get in the mood for fall like food, this honey walnut cake brought to you by Tartelette looks so delicious anything but like the stereotypical sounds of cake...cake...cake. Yeah, you guessed it I'm not a fan of the typical spongy tasteless cakes that mysteriously disappears in your mouth. But this cake, can you say yes please? Also, I love anything with fruit, especially berries to to see it topped with blackberries and raspberries, yeah I guess you can say I got excited. I think I might just make this cake!

Not in the mood cake? Wash down the tastes of fall with this addicting salted caramel hot chocolate recipe from A Beautiful Mess. Yes, I made this drink, and due to my quick addiction to hot chocolate and warm cream coffee drinks, I think I'm hooked. And so appropriate for fall might I add.

Man Fashion

Gotta re-share this wonderful photo montage of the reality star metro-man Scott Disick’s fashion from Luxirare....Yes, the gentleman dresses superb, but sometimes, that hair is a little too much.

Fashion Blogger Spotlight: Late Afternoon

So I am very excited to share with you this weeks fashion blogger spotlight. Not to mention, this is the first ever post highlighting a fashion blogger for their past weeks fashion success. With that being said, I would like to introduce a blog I have avidly followed for some time now. Liz, the blogger of Late Afternoon effortlessly pulls off any outfit she puts on. Her style is young with lots of colors and bold patterns, but yet is very sophisticated as she tends to pair both tailored pieces and loose flowing pieces. Not to mention, the girl as arsenal of great shoes, sunglasses and jewelry. Although I do not know this blogger personally, I feel like she would be very sweet and fun to get to know. I think the free spirited fashion blogger from San Fransisco “where they wear flowers in their hair,” is one to keep an eye out for. Not to mention, I personally take note of her style and try to resemble it as I find it so fun, flirty and inspiring.

Here is a recap of her past week outfits.

ArtNation: The World Captured In Soap Bubbles

I couldn't help but love the fact of combining a playful concept to depict the world around us. Plus its like art plus architecture plus culture. This photography by Tom Storm was found on the site psfk,  as Storm plans to "see the world from different perspective." I think he accomplished just that, and I seriously love this bubble art!

BlogNation Recap

The fashion junkie bloggers have finally come off their high from New York  and London Fashion Weeks and gotten back to blogging. Yes, this includes them unfairly sharing the endless amounts of goodies they scored from events they attended. But while we can drool all we want over the high priced gifts they received or deals they scored, we can all now sit back and enjoy more practical everyday outfits we can actually picture ourselves wearing.

Here is a collection of a few blogger tidbits that did me proud this past week.

WELCOME!

First off, hello and welcome. Yes, this is a new blog to the blogging world and yet it isn’t your typical blog. I will not be loading up this blog with my personal photo spreads, my thoughts on new runway fashions and the latest in beauty trends. However, I will deliver the best of the best of blogger content from other blogger crazies all in one place. I will pick out things from blogs you may already fallow and even blogs you may have never heard of. All in one place, fun, variety packed content of everything and anything you might not have already found in the blogging world.

Stay tuned for fun content found on other blogs from the previous week to be placed here, all in one convenient place. Oh, and I might have lied, I will add my own two-cents in. But I promise no fake photo-shoots or lists of my favorite things we both can never afford.

Hope you enjoy and please feel free to contact me with anything, I will take any and all suggestions and comments. Enjoy!
