Okay, so we’ve all seen those neon painted necklaces, earrings, and bracelets floating around that have given a new found purpose to those outdated rhinestone pieces we all own from out youth. We’ll as much as I have loved the neon interpretations, (here’s a good example) I love these two DIY projects done in a more subtle way.
First off, I wouldn't normally highlight two blogger’s DIY projects in one post, but since they both popped up last week around the same time, I thought I would share them both.
Anyways, found on the overly crafty DIYer’s blog A Pair & A Spair, she has taken a full on rhinestone necklace and simply sprayed it white with paint. Simple right? Well, doesn’t matter how easy the project may have been, I seriously love the end result. Much more hip, bold and in the moment. Click

But if all white isn’t your thing, or you can’t get your hands on some spray paint, reach for your nail polish. Cupcakes and Cashmere has transformed a rhinestone brooch she picked up at a flea market. I love this idea also since you can use more then one color! Also, this way of revamping can also be done on any form of jewelry, you just have to have more patience. Again, click

Well I hope you enjoyed. Now go out, feel inspired and get to work, cause this world can always use more DIY!
